Henry Ford Museum
"Bagley Avenue Workshop"

Location: Dearborn, Michigan
Designed by: Jack Rouse & Associates

Materials: basswood, graphic print copies on paper & acetate, scale parts and figures

This wood model is a reduced scale version of the Mack Avenue plant - Henry Ford's first factory - whose exhibits depict the assembly of early automobiles. The Bagley Avenue shop is a replica of his backyard shed, where he created the first gasoline powered automobile - the "Quadricycle". A new Ford Testing Track provides a queuing shelter for riding Model T's. This presentation model was used to convey the design to the client and was personally delivered.
